4 van de 5 ‘big five’ gezien! ; alhoewel ik vind dat de giraffen ook groot genoeg zijn, dus reken ik mee, is 5. De reis was goed georganiseerd voor onze groep in alle opzichten en met Carola van Tracking traces safari’s kun je goede afspraken maken. Heel prettig en ze is zelf ook enthousiast.

Dat is 6 dus. Daar komen de goede accommodaties bij, is 7 en goede drivers, is 8. Kortom een big 8. Maar we gaan tot 10, want we moeten nog een keer terug voor de neushoorn en het nijlpaard. Een review is echter niet geloofwaardig als er ook geen minpuntjes beschreven worden.

Dat was de snelheid af en toe op de autoweg met inhalen, maar daar werd goed op gereageerd na commentaar. Ook zijn we een keer aangehouden en bleken de papieren niet helemaal in orde van 1 van de drivers. Maar dat werd ter plekke ‘geregeld’, zoals dat gaat….

Safari 3 days Tsavo East by Nenya Jochemsen from September 16th till September 18th 2022

My three-day trip to Tsavo East was an amazing experience. I suggested a budget-friendly option with tent-camping and simple dinners, and Carola was very responsive to these suggestions to organise something new and more adventurous.

The first night we spent in a lodge with nice food and a great view, situated directly next to a drinking place for the animals, where I saw the first elephants! The second night we spent in a simple tent in the park, in a modest camp site with kitchen and washing space. We went on game drives on friday afternoon, twice on saturday and twice on sunday, on the times that most animals were ‘out’.

Due to the very experienced and enthousiastic guide Dulla, we saw many many animals, among which were elephants, zebra’s, giraffes, lions and lionesses and even a leopard. Dulla could tell us a lot and took as much time with the animals as we wanted.

The trip was nicely organized, and although the flexible costs were relatively high because it was just me and Carola, this gave us a lot of flexibility throughout the trip, and Carola was a nice companionship. It was so special to spent several days in the natural habitat of wild animals and the landscape was very pretty as well. I will never forget this beautiful trip.

Review Safari Tsavo East November 18th till November 20th 2022

Recently I have traveled with some friends to Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. The trip was booked by our travelagency Tracking Traces. We were picked up at home by our guide Dullah. Together with him we did a fantastic three day safari.

All lodges were super and well cared for. So we could enjoy the best between the safaris. Dullah is a very professional and experienced guide, who knew a lot of the different species wildlife and their behavior. We really saw the most amazing wildlife.

At the end of the trip I actually wanted to book the next safari right away.
